Buy houses, rent them out and sell them on. Houses nobody owns are bought by real estate firms first. A firm becomes the landlord, collects the rent and sells the house on to a player for a profit. Players find a firm's houses at its help desk and buy or rent them at the door.
Staff give every house a tier from 1 to 5. The tier sets the price the firm pays the server and the range the rent can be set in. A house without a tier can't be bought or rented by anyone yet.
| Tier | Type | Price range | Usual price | Rent range |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Trailer | $10,000 - $30,000 | $20,000 | $25 - $100 |
| 2 | Bungalow | $30,000 - $65,000 | $45,000 | $40 - $150 |
| 3 | Small house | $65,000 - $125,000 | $90,000 | $50 - $200 |
| 4 | Large house | $125,000 - $250,000 | $175,000 | $75 - $250 |
| 5 | Mansion / villa | $250,000 - $500,000 | $350,000 | $100 - $300 |
A rent of 0 means the house is not for rent.
To sell a house use /propertyprice [price] at its entrance. The asking price has to be between 100% and 200% of what the firm paid, so the most a house can make is double. Use /propertyprice 0 to take it off sale.
A player buys it with /propertybuy at the door, and the money goes into the firm bank. The house then belongs to the player, who can sell it on to another player with /propertysell.
Staff place a help desk in each real estate firm's office. A player who stands next to it and uses /propertylist sees only your firm's houses for sale and for rent, and can mark one on their map. Use /propertylist mine to see every property the firm owns.
A firm starts with room for 10 members. The owner invites people with /firminvite and everyone works under one of four ranks. Each member also has permissions, and the owner can see who has what with /firmmembers.
| Rank | Title | Default permissions |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Owner | Everything |
| 2 | Manager | Invite, kick, change ranks, use the bank, field tools and vehicles |
| 3 | Employee | Field tools only: the job commands in this guide |
| 4 | Trainee | Nothing. A trainee is on the roster but can't use the job tools yet |
